On August 21, 2023, Boris FX, a top developer of visual effects tools, announced that they have acquired SynthEyes from Andersson Technologies LLC. This acquisition strengthens Boris FX's commitment to providing excellent plugins and applications for professionals in the film, streaming, and broadcast post-production industry.
SynthEyes is a standalone 3D tracking software that lets VFX artists do advanced tasks like adding 3D elements to scenes, placing computer-generated characters into videos, and animating them using motion capture. Throughout its twenty-year history, SynthEyes has been used in big movies like Black Panther, The Guardians of the Galaxy series, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, as well as popular TV shows like Foundation, Stranger Things, and Game of Thrones.
The Boris FX Suite offers a powerful end-to-end solution with creative editing, audio, visual effects, planar tracking, motion design, and compositing tools. It features industry-leading products Sapphire, Continuum, Mocha Pro, Silhouette, Optics, CrumplePop, and now SynthEyes.
